Who I work with

You don't have to be in crisis to deserve support.

Some of my clients are working through something specific — a relationship that ended, a job that's draining them, anxiety that won't quiet down. Others are in a good place overall and want to stay there, grow intentionally, or finally address something they've been carrying for years.

What they have in common isn't the severity of what they're facing. It's that they show up, engage honestly, and take their own wellbeing seriously. That's the kind of client I work best with.

I'm not a trauma specialist, and I don't only work with people in acute distress. That said, my practice is trauma informed — I work with an awareness of how past experiences shape the present, and I create a safe, non-judgmental space that prioritizes your comfort and sense of control. If you're looking for a thoughtful clinician who meets you where you are — whether that's maintenance, momentum, or something in between — we're likely a good fit.

  • You're dealing with anxiety, overthinking, or stress that's started to affect your daily life or relationships
  • You grew up in a home affected by alcohol, emotional instability, or unpredictability — and you're starting to see how it shaped you
  • You're in recovery or recovery-adjacent and want support that goes beyond sobriety
  • You're navigating a life transition — career, relationship, identity — and want a thinking partner who can also go deep when needed
  • You've done therapy before and want to continue growing, not start over from scratch
  • You want to integrate your faith into your healing without it being forced or performative
  • You're a high-functioning adult who wants to feel as good on the inside as things look on the outside

My approach

Rooted in what actually works

Bibliotherapy

Intentional reading as a tool for self-discovery. It was books that helped me rewrite my own story — and I've seen them do the same for clients.

CBT & ACT

Evidence-based frameworks to understand your patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Solution-Focused

Not every client needs to excavate the past. Sometimes the most powerful work is identifying what's working, amplifying it, and building from there.

Faith Integration

For clients who desire it, Christian faith can be integrated as a source of strength, restoration, and identity — never imposed, always available.

Culturally Aware

Deep commitment to serving the African American community with care that honors lived experience, cultural context, and systemic reality.

Person-Centered

You are the expert on your own life. My role is to create a secure space where you can explore your story without shame — and build forward.
